The glade again

Dan Bass lives and works in Thanet (UK). Dan studied at UCA, formerly known as K.I.A.D, Kent institute of Art and Design at both the Medway and Maidstone campuses. His practice includes photography, film, painting and site-specific installations which he exhibits in London and the South East. His work has been shown in exhibitions at various institutions including, the Turner Contemporary Margate, Barbican Gallery London and the Decima Gallery London. A selection of his work appeared in the touring exhibition the Folk Archive purchased by the British Council. Recent developments have seen Bass return to painting producing a series of works informed by particular themes recurrent in his work, these include time, semiotics, place and ritual. I love to toy with both wit and meditation in my coastal surroundings of a neo-natural environment full of reality and fantasy.
